Second Book in the "Duty" Series - Maybe "Double Duty" -

This book picks up where Hazardous Duty dropped us off. The team will be trying to locate and recover Rosemary's husband. Much of the action will take place in New Orleans which is enchanting!!! I'm so excited about some of the settings. Since Cam is in prison, I'm introducing a new team member, Steamer. Actually he was part of the original team - we just didn't get to know him in the first book. Again there is a multi-faceted plot and lots of romantic tension between Dane and Savannah.

I hope this book will be out early next year and I am trying very hard to make this book so fun and exciting that readers won't mind the fact that it's the second in a three book series. And speaking of book three...

Third Book in "Duty" Series - Maybe "Dereliction of Duty" -

I think that this book will take place partly at Dane's cabin and partly in...Savannah!!! It's just too good an opportunity to miss. And I hope to have it out by next fall.

 Christmas Gift to my readers...

I wrote a Christmas short story set in Haggerty that was scheduled for release in October. It's a collaborative effort with Jennie Hansen and Michele Bell - and some of the proceeds will go to the Perpetual Education Fund. So we were a little disappointed when Covenant decided to bump it til next October.

I was particularly concerned since I've veered off in the "Duty" direction. I was counting on that Christmas book giving my readers a little taste of Haggerty. But since that's not going to happen, my editor (the WONDERFUL Kirk Shaw) and I have  come up with another idea.

I've posted a special "Haggerty Christmas Page" for the month of December. It has recipes and a Haggerty Trivia game. But the main attraction is an original short story (not to be confused with the one that will come out next October!!!). It will be available only on my website and at NO CHARGE!!!

I hope you enjoy it and have a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Blanche's story -

This picture was taken by my grandfather, John Walton, at Bull Frog Bend back in the late sixties. My parents, my brother (Curt) and sister (Julie) and I are in the canoe floating down Turkey Creek.

I don't know when I'll get around to this book, but I hope before too long. It will probalby be a stand alone story - not one intended to have sequels. I'll do the simultaneous plot - but with a less stressful present day story. It was very interesting to me to learn about the early days of Birmingham. Blanche will be loosely based on Maude Thompson - who was an incredible woman - and the mother of Eugenia Thompson Akin - the inspiration for Miss Eugenia.
